NFL Draft Picks for this Year and Whom to Watch Out For [INFOGRAPHIC]

The next season of the National Football League is now approaching. Besides football, American football is also one sport that sports bettors place their wages on. Obviously, North Americans are mostly watching and betting on this sport. However, there are also people from other countries who watch the NFL as well.

As a sports bettor, you should be aware of the new faces that are drafted for every NFL team each year. Every NFL star that you know today started as a rookie and once you realized their potential, it can lead to multiple gambling winnings. If you are tracking teams and betting in NFL games, you should watch out for these players.

Shaun Wade, Ohio State

Last year, the Arizona Cardinals selected Isaiah Simmons which concludes that they are investing for defense. Now that the Cards have a dynamic offensive player in quarterback Kyle Murray, they should continue in stacking their defense. However, the Cards are still reliant to the 31-year-old Dre Kirkpatrick when it comes to outside corner spots.

Drafting Shaun Wade out of Ohio State would give them a high-upside player and help them get younger at the position. He could see a similar arc in Arizona, serving as the team’s third corner in the slot while acclimating to the NFL and eventually replacing Peterson or Kirkpatrick on the outside.

Kwity Paye, Michigan

The Atlanta Falcons had a problem of signing elite passers in the likes of Vic Beasley, Takkarist McKinley, and Dante Fowler but failing to deliver. This off season, the Falcons picked Kwity Paye and if this draft pick does not do well, you can argue that the problem lies with the team and not the players.

Paye can be considered as an athletic person, perhaps one of the most athletic among this year’s draft picks. His play on the field has been strong. He registered 6.5 sacks last season and, although he’s missed two games with a groin injury, has been productive in the appearances he’s made this season.

Carlos Basham Jr., Wake Forest

Basham Jr., according to the official website of Wake Forest, had a 112 quarterback pressures in sophomore and junior college while he has five sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss in just six games this season. The Buffalo Bills addressed their issue of needing pass-rushers by drafting A.J. Epenesa.

Basham Jr. is known to be the same build as Epenesa but is known for having more athleticism. The 6’5″, 285-pound defensive end converts speed to power off the edge and is a plus run-defender with pass-rush production to boot.

Caleb Farley, Virginia Tech

The California Panthers spent last year in defense line and there is no sign of stopping as they need to fill this hole this season. With Derrick Brown, Brian Burns, and Jeremy Chinn in the Panthers, the only gap that needs to be filled is a burgeoning young defense is a lockdown corner which Farley could fill.

The Virginia Tech student is stacked as he stands at 6’2″ and weighs 207 lbs. Farley is also has good skills with the ball and is willing to do anything at the catch point. He racked up six interceptions and 19 pass deflections as a freshman and sophomore in college.
